Description
PEX-AL-PEX Multilayer Pipe with Corrugated Red Protective Conduit
This multilayer pipe combines cross linked polyethylene and aluminium in a five layer construction, built to handle hot and cold water distribution as well as heating applications. The aluminium core sits between two PEX layers, bonded with adhesive, giving the pipe shape memory alongside an oxygen diffusion barrier. A red corrugated outer sleeve protects the pipe and identifies it as a heating service line, making installation straightforward in concealed or screed applications.
Supplied as a 32 mm outside diameter pipe with a 3 mm wall thickness, this coil runs to 25 metres in length. The construction allows the pipe to bend around obstacles without the rigidity of copper or steel, cutting down on fittings and joints required across a run. Reduced scaling and fouling, combined with low thermal conductivity, support long term performance in both plumbing and heating systems. The pipe meets common standards for multilayer piping, including EN ISO 21003 and EN ISO 15875, with WRAS approval applicable where used for potable water in the UK.
Applications:
- Hot and cold water distribution
- Potable water systems
- Secondary circulation systems
- Underfloor heating
- Radiator circuits
- Heat pump installations
- HVAC pipework
