Description
Corrugated Multilayer PEX Aluminium PEX Pipe
This multilayer PEX AL PEX pipe combines an aluminium core with inner and outer layers of cross linked polyethylene, wrapped in a blue corrugated protective conduit. The aluminium layer gives the pipe rigidity and shape retention, while resisting oxygen diffusion into the system. The surrounding PEX layers add flexibility and resistance to corrosion, making the pipe suitable for long service life in demanding installations.
The blue corrugated sleeve offers mechanical protection during installation and allows the pipe to move slightly as it expands and contracts with temperature changes. This colour is commonly used to identify cold water services or installation specific circuits, helping installers distinguish pipe runs quickly on site.
With a smooth bore, the pipe maintains low pressure losses and reduces the risk of scale build up over time. It is lightweight and flexible, allowing for straightforward handling and installation across plumbing, heating, and building service applications. The pipe is typically manufactured to EN ISO 21003 and EN ISO 15875 standards, with approvals such as WRAS available depending on the manufacturer and intended use.
