Ductile iron valves are able to withstand high temperature and pressure making them suitable for high-demand situations.
Ductile iron is manufactured from an alloy of irons that produces high strength, flexibility, durability and elasticity due to its unique microstructure. Resistant to corrosion and high in tensile strength, ductile iron won't crack under pressure.
Welding is not recommended with ductile iron but bolting with flanges and gaskets will provide the optimum installation.
