Stainless Steel Swept Branch
The swept branch pipe fitting creates a smooth 87.5° branch connection from a main pipe while maintaining efficient flow through the system. Unlike a sharp tee, the swept design reduces turbulence, pressure loss, and the risk of blockages, making it a reliable choice for demanding piping systems.
Manufactured from AISI 316L stainless steel (EN 1.4404), this fitting offers excellent corrosion resistance and is well suited to aggressive, hygienic, and marine environments. The low carbon content improves weldability and reduces the risk of carbide precipitation during fabrication.
This fitting is commonly designed to comply with EN 1124 for stainless steel drainage pipe systems and EN 10312 for stainless steel tubes used in fluid transport, as well as ASTM A403 WP316L for wrought stainless steel pipe fittings. Hygienic systems may also require compliance with ASME BPE, DIN, or SMS sanitary standards.
Applications:
- Commercial and industrial drainage systems
- Food and beverage production
- Pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Dairy and brewing facilities
- Chemical processing plants
- Marine and offshore installations
- Hospitals, laboratories, and clean-room facilities
