The Geberit Mapress Stainless Steel adaptor union with male thread brings a demountable, threaded connection into the Mapress Stainless Steel gas system, with a union nut in CrNi steel and a flat fibre-composite gasket so the joint can be undone for servicing without cutting back the pipework.
Made in CrNiMo steel 1.4401 (EN 10088) and built specifically for the Mapress Stainless Steel gas range, it's fitted with a yellow HNBR seal ring — the gas-rated seal material — with a pressing indicator that shows at a glance whether the joint has been correctly pressed, and a yellow protection plug on the pressing socket to keep the seal clean until it's fitted.
