30 Degree Pipe Bend
A 30° pipe bend provides a gradual change in flow direction within a piping system. The shallow deflection angle reduces turbulence and pressure loss compared to sharper bends, making it well suited to systems where flow efficiency and stress minimisation matter.
Where the fitting forms part of a pressurised system in Europe, Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 2014/68/EU may apply.
Applications:
- Oil and gas process piping, pipelines and refinery systems
- Water and wastewater pump stations, treatment plants and distribution networks
- Chemical processing lines
- Power generation steam and cooling water systems
- HVAC chilled water, heating and fire protection networks
- Food and pharmaceutical hygienic stainless steel process piping
Summary:
- 30° deflection angle for gradual directional change
- Nominal diameter DN70 (approximately 70 mm)
- Weight estimated at 1 to 5+ kg depending on material and wall thickness
- Available in short or long radius configurations
- Standards: EN 10253, ASME B16.9, ASTM A234/A403, ISO 6708
- PED 2014/68/EU may apply in pressurised European installations
