Pneumatically Operated 2/2-Way Angle Seat Valve
The Bürkert Type 2000 is a pneumatically operated angle seat shut-off valve built for automated on/off control across a wide range of process media, including liquids, gases, steam, and water. A pneumatic piston actuator drives the valve, delivering reliable spring-return operation in a normally closed configuration.
The valve body is manufactured from gunmetal, a durable bronze-based alloy suited to steam and process applications. A PTFE seat seal handles demanding sealing duties, while stainless steel internal components and spindle maintain integrity under repeated cycling. The actuator housing is moulded from PA polyamide for lightweight strength.
An ATEX/IECEx explosion-protection option makes this valve suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, backing its use in more demanding installations. A flow-above-seat arrangement supports consistent, dependable switching, and the valve carries an EU Declaration of Conformity.
Applications:
- Steam control, boiler systems, and sterilisation equipment
- Water distribution, cooling water systems, and process water lines
- CIP and SIP systems, beverage processing, and utility services in food and beverage
- Solvent, acid, and alkali handling for chemical processing, subject to compatibility
- Compressed air, process skids, and automated production systems in general industrial automation
