The Geberit Mapress Copper adaptor with union nut brings a demountable, threaded connection into the Mapress Copper gas system, with a union nut in brass so the joint can be undone for servicing without cutting back the pipework.
Made in DR brass CW602N and built specifically for the Mapress Copper gas range, it's fitted with a conical-sealing joint, a yellow HNBR seal ring plus a yellow HNBR O-ring — the gas-rated seal materials, distinct from the standard water-duty range — with a pressing indicator that shows at a glance whether the joint has been correctly pressed, and a yellow protection plug on the pressing socket to keep the seal clean until it's fitted.
