Stainless Steel Countersunk Bolt A2
The M12 x 25mm A2 Stainless Steel Countersunk Bolt is a precision fastener designed to sit flush with the surface once installed. The flat-cone head profile eliminates protrusions, making it well suited to applications where a clean, unobstructed finish is required.
Manufactured from A2 stainless steel (equivalent to AISI 304), the bolt contains approximately 18% chromium and 8% nickel, giving it good corrosion resistance across a wide range of indoor and outdoor environments. It performs reliably in wet and atmospheric conditions, though it is not recommended for marine immersion or highly chlorinated environments, where A4 (316) grade is the preferred choice.
The drive type is typically a hex socket (Allen key), and the bolt is commonly graded A2-70, indicating a tensile strength of approximately 700 MPa. It is manufactured to ISO 10642 and DIN 7991 standards, with mechanical properties defined under ISO 3506. Each bolt weighs approximately 25g.
Applications:
- Construction — architectural metalwork, handrails, balustrades, cladding systems
- Manufacturing — machinery assembly, equipment panels, fabricated assemblies
- Food and Beverage — stainless processing equipment, wash-down environments
- Automotive and Transport — body panels, interior fittings, equipment housings
- Marine (Light Duty) — deck hardware above waterline, general fixings
- Electrical and HVAC — control panels, enclosures, ductwork systems
