At the heart of the AVM234SF132 is SAUTER Universal Technology (SUT) — a sophisticated electronic control unit paired with a stepping motor and force-dependent cut-off. The actuator automatically detects whether a constant (0…10 V or 4…20 mA) or switched (2-point or 3-point) control signal is applied, with dual LEDs providing instant visual confirmation. Coding switches allow straightforward selection of the characteristic curve (linear, quadratic, or equal-percentage) and running time directly on the unit, giving installers and engineers precise control over system behaviour.
Assembly is where the AVM234SF132 truly sets itself apart. The patented spindle connection system automatically engages upon application of the control voltage — no manual alignment required. The actuator self-adapts to valve strokes between 8 mm and 49 mm, with the measured stroke saved to memory even in the event of a power failure. A range of adapters also allows fitting onto non-SAUTER valves, making it a versatile choice across mixed installations.
Durability is built into every component. The maintenance free sintered steel gear unit, steel gearbox base-plate, stainless steel mounting column, and cast light alloy bracket ensure the AVM234SF132 withstands the rigours of continuous operation. Electrical connections accommodate conductors up to 2.5 mm² via screw terminals, with three pre-scored cable inlets (2× M20 × 1.5 and 1× M16 × 1.5) for flexible wiring configurations. The unit supports power supply via 230 V module or direct 24 V~ / 24 V= connection, with continuous 230 V activation also permissible.
A crank handle allows external manual adjustment when needed, simultaneously cutting motor power and triggering re-initialisation for seamless system recovery.
