Roxtec RS PPS/S 125 AISI316 (125021)
The Roxtec RS PPS/S 125 keeps a vessel watertight, gastight, and protected against fire where a single large plastic pipe passes through a steel deck, bulkhead, wall, or floor. Built for the harshest marine conditions, this transit kit pairs two Roxtec RS 125 seals, one on each side of the penetration, to block the spread of water and gas, while an intumescent sealing strip wraps the pipe within the sleeve to deliver critical fire protection. Should a fire break out, the plastic pipe melts away and the strip reacts instantly to the heat, expanding to crush the collapsing pipe and form a solid firewall that stops flames and toxic smoke in their tracks. Every piece of metallic hardware is forged from marine-grade 316 stainless steel, so it stands up to relentless saltwater exposure, chemical washdowns, and corrosion year after year. Certified for A-Class marine fire divisions under the IMO 2010 FTP Code, it withstands catastrophic pressure peaks of up to 4 bar for water and 2 bar for gas.
Summary:
- Marine grade, fire rated penetration transit kit used to seal large single plastic pipes passing through steel decks, bulkheads, walls, and floors
- Two Roxtec RS 125 Seals: One installed on each side of the penetration to block water and gas
- An Intumescent Sealing Strip: Wrapped around the middle of the plastic pipe inside the sleeve
- In a fire, the plastic pipe melts away; this material reacts to the heat, expands rapidly, and completely crushes the collapsing pipe, creating a solid firewall that stops flames and toxic smoke
- The metallic hardware is built from marine grade 316 stainless steel to survive constant saltwater exposure, chemical washdowns, and corrosion
- Certified for A-Class marine fire divisions (IMO 2010 FTP Code)
- It handles extreme catastrophic pressure peaks up to 4 bar for water and 2 bar for gas
Applications:
Commonly used on large vessels & offshore piping
Also used in industrial facilities where plastic chemical process lines pass through firewalls or floor levels prone to heavy flooding
