Plasson Barrier to Metric Coupler
The Plasson Barrier to Metric Coupler is a mechanical compression fitting for use with barrier pipe — MDPE pipe systems fitted with a protective barrier layer for use in contaminated ground conditions, such as brownfield or ex-industrial sites. It joins a length of barrier pipe to standard metric MDPE/PE pipe of the same diameter.
Manufactured with a Polypropylene, high-grade copolymer body and nut, sealing on an NBR seal with a Polyacetal split ring. A nut is tightened over the pipe end, compressing a split ring and seal against the pipe wall to form a secure, mechanical joint — no solvent, heat or specialist tools required.
