Commonly used to provide a divide between pedestrians and a hazard (such as roads or a railway line), the handrail is highly versatile and can be used in a multitude of structures and applications, as listed below. Complying with BS EN10255 to ensure full traceability and material certification, the tube is corrosion resistant and will survive the test of time and weathering.
We supply handrail tube in a range of sizes from 3/4" to 2", to include the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) compliant diameter of 1.1/2".
Our galvanised tube provides a robust and long lasting handrail solution. The mild steel tube is hot dip galvanised and has a zinc coating to protect the mild steel. Zinc is less likely to corrode than mild steel, so it is less likely to rust than ordinary mild steel. Galvanised mild steel is therefore ideal for outdoor use as it can withstand the elements and has a longer life expectancy.
